I have identified the relationship between the salt pan and the soil in different climates, and how the soil is clay rich and mucky. Due to the salt pan nearby it is highly saline and there are exposed soil patches due to ongoing soil degradation which happens because of the excess salt.
The rain in monsoons is harsh and also in summers it is very hot and dry
The climate is continuously humid. These conditions call for a semi open ventilated structure rather than a space for permanent living.
I also observed that there was no designated space to collect and store the salt from the saltpans. I have targeted the people working in the salt pans and my structures also accommodated a place for storing the salt.
